About Dr Peter Moore

Dr Peter Moore is a cardiologist with subspecialty training in interventional cardiology, in both coronary and structural heart procedures.

Peter graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School with a University Medal and First Class Honours in 2008. He undertook his Advanced Training in Cardiology at the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital, Brisbane, and attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. He subsequently undertook two interventional cardiology fellowships: at the PA Hospital, Brisbane in 2016; and the Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria Heart Institute Foundation, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in 2017-18.

Peter consults and performs procedures at The Wesley Hospital, and as a Staff Specialist at the PA Hospital. His interventional practice encompasses coronary stenting, including intracoronary imaging and calcium modification techniques such as rotational atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy. Peter also performs transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR / TAVI) with both The Wesley Hospital and PA Hospital Heart Teams. He is an Australian accredited TAVI implanter.

Peter has published studies in peer-reviewed journals and presented research findings at national and international conferences. He maintains an active role in teaching, of both medical students at The Wesley Hospital and Cardiology trainees at the PA Hospital.
